"The Catholic Church brings an unchanging Truth to changing generations."
There is an essential - infinite - difference between Jesus Christ and the founders of other religions: Jesus is GOD, and the others are not. "There is no salvation through anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to the human race by which we are to be saved." (Acts 4:12)
The Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ 2,000 years ago to transmit His grace and His truth to people until the end of time, when He returns as Judge of the living and the dead. Times and technologies change, but Truth does not. “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life,”Jesus says. “No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6) Both Sacred Scripture and Tradition form the basis of Catholic teaching. Sacred Scripture needs an authoritative interpreter; otherwise, we can interpret it wrongly…and self-servingly.
The United States Catholic Catechism for Adults is an excellent source of Catholic teaching for all. RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) is the typical course by which non-Catholics come to know Catholic doctrine and morality (i.e. action/behavior), along with worship at Sunday Mass. “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” (John 14:15)
