Joining Our Parish

A baptized Catholic cannot be a "free lancer", floating from one church to another. He or she ought to be "anchored" into a parish. It is here, rooted within a family community, that one’s Catholic faith gets nourished. This happens especially at the Sunday Mass, where the Word of God - both in Sacred Scripture and in the Most Holy Eucharist - feed mind and heart. A Catholic also comes to know their brothers and sisters by faithful participation at weekly Mass. Therefore, a Catholic needs to register at a parish. He is free, of course, to attend Mass at other parishes (it’s all Catholic!), but he ought to claim one parish as "home".
